What started out as a wonderful atmosphere on a summer evening, turned into a ruined group party. So sad!!! The management accepted a reservation request for our group of 15 people. A server came and took orders for drinks and food. We were told that food was taking 25 minutes to deliver, due to the cook being out on vacation.
After waiting 30 minutes two meals came out and three drinks orders were delivered. The other 12 people waited... Then, nothing........... Nothing..... Waiting.... .waiting...... waiting ..... ..
after 60 minutes, half of our group left with no food and no drinks ... it was late and they had to go home!
Party was ruined!! A few stragglers waited around to try and get someone's attention to pay their bill
This was a complete restaurant service meltdown!
Stopped in because we were in Smithfield. My wife says the place had a funky order that she could put her finger on. The food was good, the beer was cold. So in my book it was good, but my wife wasn't impressed. The waitress was new so she wasn't too sure about items on the menu. Whenever we looked over to her she would run over and ask if we needed anything. I did ask for BBQ sauce and a water but never got it. They should have a Trainer with her until she knows the entire menu cover to cover.
Nice vibe... indoors and outdoors.. very friendly staff.. seems like a hot spot for all ages.. food can be better.. fried cauliflower tasted like it was fried in old burned oil.. wings seemed like they were frozen ones..the roasted Brussel Sprouts were really good except there was no bacon as advertised...plenty of great choices for alcoholic beverages though..
We had a good time. This is a loud restaurant with kids running around on a Saturday night so be warned lol Our bartender was really nice and super helpful. We ordered the Saint margherita pizza and parmesan and rosemary fries. I really liked the pizza however, the fries were cold and it seemed like they were sitting for a bit and then parmesan cheese and rosemary was tossed on top of them. Don't get me wrong, they were good but just cold. If you like loud places it's not bad. I Prefer something a little quiet however, I will definitely be back.
I was super excited to try this establishment. The name alone is fun. It was full of all ages. The menu isn't huge but I liked that. The fish and chips were great. The beer was cold and I have a T-shirt to show off! Thanks guys
We had a great first time dinner experience at the Thirsty Beaver after dropping our son at Bryant University. We went early so it wasn’t busy and we enjoyed a drink (espresso martini 🍸and wine🍷) , Apps (Buffalo chicken fingers 😀) and sandwiches (burger for me and chickpea burger for my wife😋 ). The manager and server were super nice and welcoming. The prices are real reasonable and the vibe was relaxed. They have some daily specials (1/2 off martini that day) so find out what they have when you go.
Most importantly, I will be back.
Comfortable vibe and relaxed staff was great. Drinks were ok and prices were fine. Food was "ok". Buffalo wrap 🌯 was very good. Burgers were a bit overdone for medium. Figuring how many people must order that, you'd think they have it dialed in. Would still go again …
Thirsty Beaver is a great bar to go grab a some food and a drink or two. Food is always amazing and a great selection on draft. Atmosphere is amazing as well. If you haven’t tried the Thirsty Beaver yet I highly recommend you do!
